The Pure is one of our favourite recommendations for riders who want their first proper boat board to last well beyond the beginner stage. It's stable and forgiving enough to build confidence quickly, but there's enough edge control and wake performance underneath you to keep progression interesting. The deep centre channel gives it a reassuringly predictable feel, the full-length spine helps soften harder landings and the subtle 3-stage rocker provides plenty of usable pop. If you want one board to take you from learning the fundamentals into confident intermediate riding, the Pure is difficult to fault.
