Our take.

The Jobe Unit is a great example of an open-toe binding done properly. It's comfortable, forgiving and extremely easy to live with, while the adjustable sizing makes it ideal for progressing riders or boards used by more than one person. The durable EVA liner keeps things comfortable, stretchy flex panels allow plenty of movement and the simple single-lace system makes getting ready straightforward. It won't give you the precision or locked-in response of a premium closed-toe boot, but for progression, recreational riding and shared setups, the Unit makes a lot of sense.
